Large scar like markings line his body caused by the spill that mutated the human race. These scars house glands that releases a black mist, the source of Rook's ability. These scar like markings grow larger once his power has activated and over use causes them to remain enlarged. His eyes, originally gray, have turned a brilliant red. A side effect of using his abilities causes his sclera to turn black. His powers also make him incredibly resistant to aging, toxins, and disease. Skills: Ashes to Ashes: Rook has the ability to release a strange black mist from the markings that line his body and also through exhaling deeply. The mist is highly corrosive to inorganic matter causing it to decay rapidly. Rook's black mist is powerful enough to melt through stone in a matter of moments when in high concentration. Though, upon it's release it floats about causing things to dissolve away slowly. Dust to Dust: Rook is unable to dissolve organic matter but his mist still affects it. Any living thing that comes in contact with Rook's mist is slowly drained of energy. Plants wither and fruit rots as he comes near it. When he uses his abilities near human beings they experience a sense of nausea and sickness. Humans that inhale the mist for too long run the risk of being infected and turned into a Remnant. Remnants and New Children are more resilient but are still affected by the sickness, just not to the same extremes and run no risk of being changed into Remnants.
