Appearance:: Banshee is of a pure ethereal form with the exception of an amulet necklace, and what appears to be a very old 15th century night gown. While general features such as fingers, eyes, mouht, and nose can all be made out, they are constantly changing in color and opacity. Her whole ethereal body shifts from a green to dark blue color repeatedly, while the night gown is white, and extremely dirty.

History::
Way back in the 15th century, there was a town in the mountains that lasted only about 200 years before it was completely forgotten. The un-named ghost type remnant, dubbed “Banshee,” had lived there. She was in love with a man from another town who worked as a militiaman. They saw each other regularly, as he often made visits to her, on the deadly narrow roads through the mountains.
One winter night, a particularly cold blizzard rolled through, and on his trip, he got lost, and rode right over a thinly frozen lake. Both he and his horse fell in, and were frozen to death. His soul was said to have never been able to rest because of his love for the unknown woman. In the same blizzard, the town was doomed; everyone there froze to death, and moved one; except for the woman they say, because of her everpresent love for the rider.
For centuries, the ghost stories about the mountain went on and on; especially when the town was rediscovered, about 25 years before the founding of Arcis. As rumors went around about the remnants’ supposed weaknesses, one arose about how they couldn’t survive in the cold. A group of survivors ventured into the mountain town so that they could live. After the first survivors went up, more and more followed suite, chasing rumors that there was an entire sirvivor’s city up in the mountains. What they didn’t know was that the rumors about the cold were entirely off.
By chance, a animal based remnant had happened to dig up the snowy grave of the woman who died in the townl scratching the supposedly “dead” body of the woman. Within a few minutes, the woman turned remnant, and haunted the town where more and more survivors showed up. Every night she haunted it, that same freezing blizzard returned, and killed everyone. Again and again, with each group of survivors coming to the mountain, the number of “ghosts” in the area went up more and more.
With her body still frozen, her soul still haunts the mountains. And with the ability to force the souls of those others frozen, but not physically killed, to wander the mountains with her, the entire place became the most haunted in the world. She herself has no control of the blizzard: while it is her ability, it’s automatic. The rumors of the other souls there are that she relives that fateful night every night until she can find her lost loved one: the mysterious rider who froze to death with her, or her soul is put to rest, by the destruction of her frozen body. There are no New Children haunts here… yet.
