So I was thinking that remnants could be organized into different classes, kinda like New Children but a wider variety. Here's what I came up with for a first thought:
Animal (F) Class: Animal remnants aren't even base don humans. They are completely feral, and they are entirely instinct driven.
Feral (E) Class: Feral remnants are part humanoid, but lack any significant remainder of humanity and have become completely feral, much like an F class, but are occasionally better at hunting/hiding/etc.
Schizophrenic-Amnesiac (D) Class: This class is a rather unique one, and it consists of remnants that were once human, and constantly relive memories from before they became remnants. This often results an a very eerie, haunting feel to them.
Instinctive (C) Class: These remnants are about as intelligent as any human, but they are instinct driven, and don't usually organize in any way that would resemble human society. They can talk, but they often only talk to one another.
Intelligent (B) Class: These remnants are the lucky ones. They are just as common as any other remnant below their class, but they retain the full spectrum of human social and logistic thought processes.
Super-Intelligent (A) Class: These remnants actually managed to become more intelligent when infected. They are extremely rare, and are often capable of fooling pretty much anyone or anything they meet into doing what they want.
Quantum (X) Class: These remnants are the rarest of them all. Their intelligence and perception of the physical world is on a whole other level from humans, and are often related to being 4, 5, or even 6 dimensional life-forms: able to perceive time and space on a multi-planar scale where humans can only perceive it linearly.
