I have a few more suggestions for the IC shop.
First off is Legacy... or Inheritance or some cool sounding name like that…
The concept is pretty simple, basically if your character dies or is killed, you can carry over any extra slots you purchased to a new character or possibly an existing character. That’s it really.
So if you bought a third skill slot, or upgraded a slot on a character that then dies, you start a new character with three skill slots, instead of the usual two, and upgrade one of them right away. I think this will soften the blow of having a character killed, and will promote the idea of letting your characters die, and death certainly adds an interesting element to any story.
Of course, at the same time, death shouldn’t be overused or it loses its meaning.
I also suggest that it be made so that you can use Argent on one account to buy things for a different character on a different account. That would hopefully prevent people from making and killing off characters just to move their slots around.
Another suggestion I have is the idea that multiple purchases cost more. I came up with this idea when I was thinking of making a weapon collector. So basically I would be buying weapon slots over and over. As it stands, it would be pretty easy to get a huge collection right away. The idea I had is, every time you buy an additional slot of the same kind, the cost increases.
A general rule can be used like: +10 for every purchase.
So the first weapon slot I buy would be 150 Argent.
The second would be 160 Argent
The third would be 170 Argent… and so on.
For both of these suggestions, I suppose they would be general rules written in the IC rules section or in the shop itself as a small note. That is of course, if you decide to use them. It’s a great site so far, so I can understand if you want to keep it as is.
