And They Shall Reign. - ✝ - The forest seemed like a sauna compared to the icy peaks of the Banshee’s mountain. It was still cold, and some snow patched the earth here and there, but it was a huge improvement. Adia walked out into the tree-filled region; her knee and hand were no longer injured because none of her last battle was actually herself fighting, so she walked at a normal pace. She felt the dire need within herself to return to Arcis, but her mind fought her feelings and she refused to go back.
- ✝ - She pulled out her hand drawn map and drew more along the line that had ended just at the bottom of the peak she was on before she froze to death. She was almost at that paper’s end, and the line she had drawn over days led all the way to Arcis. She then drew some forest around the line and looked around for other landmarks. Not seeing any, she pocketed the map. Her stomach growled after she looked back up, and she let out a sigh.
- ✝ - “Food,” she said, “I’m starving, I need to eat something.” Digestion was frozen as she was, but that didn’t change the fact that she wasn’t very good at finding her own food since she was used to just being fed back in Arcis.
Forever and Ever.

have you heard of the big bad wolf? that lives to steal and eats for pleasure [atrb=width,450][atrb=border,3,true][atrb=rules,none,true][atrb=bordercolor,000000,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,10,true][atrb=background,http://i53.tinypic.com/2ppa59f.jpg,true]
Such a boring day, a rough sigh was heard from Acmis as she stood the the middle of nowhere. Right, why did she come to the bloody forest in the first place? Oh, yeah because I was hiding from all the morons that tried to kill me at first sight. Rolling her eyes as she twitched her tail. She could have easily taken them on but she was to lazy to kill anyone at the moment; she just wanted some relaxing time. Is that to much to ask?
Just as normal she was off in her thoughts when she heard movement she looked toward the direction from where the sound was coming from. She slyly inched over to the sound to see someone walking alone in the forest; Alone. Her black tail curled as she got an smirk on her face well this was just to easy.
Daringly she paced out form her hiding spot and started to follow behind them with her wicked smirk on her face. When she caught up to them she calmly placed her hand on their shoulder. Wondering alone is never an good idea there could be monsters out walking around you know. her tone was shadowy and creepy as she spoken to the girl. Changing her smirk to her normal cute grin so that her true intonations would be hidden from her. | [atrb=width,90,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=background,http://i53.tinypic.com/2ppa59f.jpg,true]

And They Shall Reign. - ✝ - As Adia felt the hand on her shoulder; she smirked and turned around quickly into Acmis’s hand, raising the same hand going to grab Acmis’s arm. Her other hand, at the same time, and in one fluid motion, pulled her obsidian dagger from its sheath and brought it up to where Acmis’s arm would by then be held in place; that is, if Adia’s grip was strong enough.
- ✝ - During the whole movement, she shouted in a battle cry, “Without the cold messing with my senses so much… I could smell you a mile on.” It was an exaggeration, but it was still unbelievably realistic that any remnant could sneak up on a New Child with a forest wolf’s sense of smell. She stopped the attack right before she reached where she had tried to hold her arm still. “What’s this?” she thought to herself as she halted her own attack, “I stopped… my mind says to fight… but this… other sense… tells me I should… be friendly.”
- ✝ - Adia took a deep breath, and pulled her weapon back, not even noticing for a second whether or not the remnant was even there still. She sheathed the dagger, and could practically hear her own heart beat within her chest. Normally, an adrenaline rush kept people going, and kept them in combat; but this sensation blasted through her when she felt the need to stop her attack. “I’m sorry,” the New Child said, confused by her own reaction, and her mind raced for what to say next, “I need something from her… but what?! Why is it that I can’t finish what I know that I’m supposed to do?!” Adia then looked up at Acmis, with a sorrow filled look in her eyes, “For… forgive me?” she asked, sincerely and worriedly.
Forever and Ever.

Just as planned, well kinda. She didn't think that they could smell her maybe is was just this one New child that could. Acmis didn't like the thought of that at all. Something/Someone like that should be destroyed then it would make her horrid life even worse if that was even possible anymore. Her tail curled around the girls legs but the tail didn't touch her skin it was just there waiting.
As a battle cry was being called out her tail started to slow tighten around her leg slowly and surely cutting off the blood flow in her left leg. Then she let her tail whip free with out harming her it seemed that her plan was working right! For once ! She smiled happily at her self win but to the girl it just looked like she was smiling like she was glad to see her. Fool
“I’m sorry,” Oh you better be, keeping her act laughed calmly and took her hand off the girls shoulder and waved her hand Ah your fine i gave you quiet a scare huh? Was it just her or did she feel like someone else was watching her with the new child she looked around with a glare on her face. Then turned to her was a smile, Your forgiven she replied sweetly.
Looks like we Arn't alone, I just cant shake off that feeling like someone is watching me! On guard she made sure that if anyone would try to hit her from the back she would be ready. If it was an new child again she could easy trap the girl in her grip and hold her if anyone tried anything funny. But for now everything seemed fine. For now. | [atrb=width,90,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=background,http://i53.tinypic.com/2ppa59f.jpg,true]

Unlike Adia, Abel's actual body had been tested during their adventure in the mountain. He had fallen asleep by the river that he was supposed to be fishing in. The last of his bait was long gone, having caught a bite a few hours ago. The hook he had painstakingly fashioned from scrap was also taken, along with that bait. He had peacefully slept through it, so now he only had a long stick and a string to catch food for himself and Adia.
He tossed and turned slightly, trying to get comfortable on the uncomfortable rocks. His pony tail fell into the river, where it stayed for a few minutes.
"Um... Oh no... Adia... you can't do that..." He mumbled in his sleep as something began to tug on his pony tail.
This harsh movement, stirred Abel from his sleep. When he got up, he felt a weight pull his head back and something wet and hard slam into his back.
"AH! Why?!" Abel called out, still half asleep. He sprang to his feet in panic, and as he flailed about he managed to catch sight of a rather large and scaling fish looking creature, attached to the end of his hair. It had bitten around his hair, and didn't seem to want to let go.
"I'm supposed to eat you!" Abel screamed as he ran about. He tried to reach back grab the fish, but he couldn't get a good grip onto it. He grabbed his pony tail, close to his head and swung the fish at a tree. A dull, wet, thud. A good impact, but no result. The fish was still clinging to him.
He began to run forward deeper into the woods, swinging his head to slam the fish into trees as he passed.
"Ahh! Gahh... get off!" He called out as he bumbled through the trees. Finally the fish met its limit, and after slamming it into another tree it let go. The blubbery fish creature bounced along the floor, coming to a stop at Adia's feet.
"Ah... Adia," He called out to her. "Uh... I caught a fish," He said with a smile as he approached her.
He came to a stop a few steps away from Adia, when he noticed another woman standing near her.
"Oh, who's you're friend?" He said when he noticed her.

And They Shall Reign. - ✝ - Adia looked down, almost ashamedly as Abel arrived. She was just about ready to kill the newcomer. Abel seemed like the more compassionate type, so he would have been a little thrown off by it, but she was more ashamed of herself. She should have had it in her to fight to the death, but something she couldn’t explain stopped her. As she looked up slowly towards Abel, she remembered a small thing from her time in Arcis.
(Flashback, not entirely important if you want to skip over it) - ✝ - One time when she was in the infantry cages, she saw a rat crawl into her cell and she watched it as it scurried around, picking up the smallest bits of crumbs leftover from Adia’s most recent meal. “I could cook you,” she said, talking to the rat, but more just thinking aloud. She smacked her hand down on the rat’s tail and held it up in front of her face. The little creature squirmed and shook, trying to get away. “Oh it’s not like I care so much about animals or anything,” she muttered, “Just like any other non-intelligent life-form… your entirely instinct driven, and you don’t even have a mind to perceive what the world really holds… Your probably disease ridden and infected with parasites.”
- ✝ - “In fact, I bet that you never even considered that your life might be in danger until now; but I bet that you’ll come back if it means finding food. Does that mean that you’d risk your life to find food to bring back to others? Or… are you just looking for yourself? Just trying to survive? I’m interested to find out…” Adia continued whispering as she put the rodent on the ground, and pulled out a piece of bread left over from earlier, “Take it and eat it now… it’ll mean you’re really just a soulless pest. Take it and come back for more… and I’ll accept that I just may have been wrong…” The rat took the piece of bread, and immediately began eating it.
- ✝ - “This city,” Adia began expressing her thoughts in a monologue under her breath, “Is filled with people that are so ungrateful, and so evil. Yet there is some good, I can feel it. But is it enough? When God came to Abraham, and informed him of the coming destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, Abraham pleaded with God, that if there 100 righteous souls that the city could be saved. When God agreed, Abraham said that surely for 50 good people, the city wouldn’t burn. God agreed again. Abraham finally asked God that if the city had only 10 righteous men, if it would still be destroyed. God agreed. It would be unjust if just 10 good people had to suffer for the misdeeds of thousands, so I know there must be good in people, because the city stands. But in the end… Sodom had not even 5 pure souls… and those four escaped… and the city was wiped off the Earth. Does it mean that the good people should flee so God may destroy evil without destroying good?” Adia then looked up to find the rat, it should have still been eating the bread, but instead, the piece was torn in half; one half remained, and the rat had taken the other, “Or should the good… grant evil the chance of redemption?” (End Flashback)
- ✝ - Adia came back to reality quickly; despite it being a long memory, it went by her really quick because of the way the mind can process things faster than real time. “I…” Adia began, speaking extremely softer than usual, “I don’t know… we just met.” She didn’t turn back to the remnant to ask for a name though; how could she, she just tried to slice Acmis’s arm off? “Redemption,” Adia thought to herself, “Do I even deserve it?”
Forever and Ever.

Acmis grinned to herself she was right someone else was here hopefully this NC doesn't try and kill her. For all she knew this could easily be a setup where they are going to gang up on her then murder her. Still keeping one eye on the other girl that just tried to cut her arm off she used the other free eye to see whose the voice owner was. Casually waving her arm, it seemed she had to be extra careful now. How am i going to get myself out of this? There seemed an uncomfortable quietness in between the three of them soo.. My name is Acmis
Her hands started to get bored so she started to play with her hair as she stood in the weird quietness. She hated it when it was like this it made her think that she said something wrong or did something wrong. Acmis looked behind her before she started to pace forward to the other NC when she was right in front of him she moved her head to the side And whats your name? Her green eyes unintentionality started to glow and give off some sort of an evil vibe. Not that Acmis could help it for one she was truly an monster.
Everyone knows that at night or the setting of the sun is when monsters can show their true self. Well about everyone knows that. Her black tail hung limply for she had no use for it yet, was it just her or did they not notice that she had about no human teeth left in her mouth? Or was they ignoring that fact? Acmis couldn't sense any fear around her so she was guessing that the girl didn't even think about it adia was still worked up about almost attacking her.
Acmis didn't even find out adias weakness yet or what adias was strongest at so therefore it would be very smart to get into an fight with someone like that. Adias did seem pretty strong for doing an stunt like that. But the goodness from her heart stopped her. But for Acmis theres no kindness when she was determined to do something she will not give up for then the thoughts I lost would pop into her head. | [atrb=width,90,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=background,http://i53.tinypic.com/2ppa59f.jpg,true]

The glowing green eyes of the woman did not put off Abel at all. It fact they were actually quite fetching to him. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder after all.
He was blissfully unaware of the awkward tension between the two women, and also of the evil aura the newcomer gave off. Either that or he just ignored these things.
He might have been blessed, being only able to see beauty where most would probably see only evil. That, or he was just stupid.
He smiled to Acmis as she introduced herself and asked for his name.
"My name is Abel. It's a pleasure to meet you," He said with a smile. He seemed to introduce himself to anything that could speak in this simple manner. It wouldn't have been something odd if things weren't the way they were, but the truth was this was a wasteland and this woman was a Remnant. He really should have been less friendly and more defensive, but even though he did know this, he just felt like that would have just been too sad.
He did notice the woman's strange appearances, but he would never judge her for them.
"We were just about to sit down for some dinner," He paused.
"Um... we don't have much yet, but I can catch more if you'd like to join us," He said reaching back and rubbing the sore part of the back of his head.

- ✝ - Adia continued to act in her depressive mood and stepped away a little from Acmis and, without looking up, even with her eyes, said in a quiet tone, “I’m Adia.” She then went and walked on into the woods, continuing her search for food, “I’ll look for more food,” she said as she walked away from the two of them.
- ✝ - After she was far enough away to where they couldn’t even shout at each other if they had to, she walked on towards a clearing in the trees. She stepped up onto and over a large log and slid her back down a tree trunk to a sitting position on the ground. Only it wasn’t a log, after she had moved away from it, it moved silently, slithering away like a huge snake.
- ✝ - She looked out around everything and up to the clouds; the thought that she had a sudden, newfound sense of compassion for remnants disturbed her a bit. “I suppose they are an intelligent lifeform,” Adia thought to herself as she sat there, her knees leaning against one another and her arms draped over the ground. “All I’ve ever been meant to do is to kill them… so why all the sudden can’t I?”
- ✝ - As she pondered, the huge snake from before had managed to sneak up behind her; its huge head looked down over her, and it opened its mouth, letting out a single hot breath of disabling nerve gas down on Adia before it hissed slyly.
- ✝ - Adia jumped up and turned around away from it as she smelled the breath. “What kind of remnant is that?!” she thought, “I couldn’t smell it or hear it until it was ready to eat me alive!” The giant snake charged her across the ground, and Adia jumped to the side, slashing at its body with her dagger. Normally, her speed was a huge advantage, but this was probably the fastest enemy she’d ever come up against; its head bolted around to Adia’s backside and struck quickly. Again, Adia jumped away, but this time, she seemed to be moving slower. Her vision was becoming blurred and she took a desperate hack at the serpent’s body again, but the blade barely nicked it, only cutting what seemed like two or three layers of thin scales.
- ✝ - Adia took a run for it, leaping over its body and changing her form, completely ignoring her clothes still on her in the state of emergency, and charged through the thick brush. The snake charged behind her, but she could no longer tell; she had gone completely deaf, and her vision was getting worse every second. She raced back towards where she last saw Abel and Acmis, only hoping that she could get there before her senses were completely nullified. “That snake,” she thought as she ran, “Is the perfect predator.”
