Fortunately for him, he is able to hide most of these features beneath his clothes, though it having to keep his wings pressed down so tightly gets uncomfortable. While his wings would be capable of flight, he doesn't technically know how, always having been too afraid to try. #PI094A has been trying to teach him. Skills: Static: He is able to give someone a light shock, sometimes greater if he puts more energy into it, upon contact. He is also able to cling to certain surfaces. Ray: By absorbing electric energy around him, he is able to unleash it in the form of a ray. He isn't able to control this ability very well yet. Origin:: Naturally-born. Summary: A young Remnant boy who tries to live as normal of life as possible as a rogue within Arcis. Relationships: Amelia James - mother (deceased) - the boy's late young mother, who perished after suffering an illness. she was a kind but stubborn woman. Hollis misses her greatly. #PI094A (or "Ava" as he titled her) - friend - a New Child from the infantry that he's built an attachment to. Inventory: A tattered scarf that was originally sewn and given to him by his late mother, and the only memento he has left. It's very important to him. Reserved Weapon: A simple pocket knife functions as his only weapon. History: He was born as the child of a single mother, Amelia James, after she became pregnant with a boyfriend who left her prior to her the end of her term. Nonetheless, the woman vowed to give her unborn child the best life that she could. Her pregnancy was difficult, however, leading the woman to suspect that something might be wrong. But she became too afraid to go get checked out by the doctors. What if the troubles were stemming from her child developing as a Remnant? If so, and it was discovered, the child would be terminated by the government. This was something most parents accepted, a risk that came with pregnancy, but Amelia felt differently, not believing that all naturally-born Remnants were the same as those that roamed the surface. So she stayed away from the hospital, and made sure that she had the rough birth alone and at home. It was just as she'd feared - her son was born with the features of a Remnant. But it didn't matter to her. Thankfully, the boy still appeared human enough for most of his Remnant features to remain hidden by his clothes. Pretending that nothing was wrong in front of strangers, she thought the boy, who came to act mostly like a regular human child, to careful conceal his identity and features in front of others for his own sake. He adapted well, fully pretended to be a regular human. Life continued well enough like this until Amelia caught a violent illness shortly after Hollis' ninth birthday. She was only able to hold one for two months longer before the grieving Remnant boy was left alone. Unable to seek out a new family or orphanage for fear of anyone finding out his true identity, he had no choice but to take to the streets. He currently lives within a small cave in West District, surviving as a thief and still under his human disguise. The only friend he really has is a New Child who he decided to call Ava, a woman who reminds him slightly of his mother. But even she doesn't know what he really is... He's terrified that he might loose her too if she finds out.
