I like your title. I think all artists are still learning really, always trying to improve themselves.
I don't know when you started learning to draw, but you've come a long way already. They say that drawing and art are talents, but that's not true. They are skills that you learn with practice and training. Of course there are those who are naturally gifted right away, but the same can be said about many skills. Like cooking or sports, many people work hard and become great while at the same time there are those who are just naturally gifted.
I also started working form my favorite comics, and although I didn't believe it at the time when people said this to me, I think you'll have an easier time working from 'real action' photos. (photos of people, instead of drawings).
I don't know why, but its just easier to get a better drawing when not working from drawing. That's my advice to you.
I think its cause... working from an actual person, you can take artistic liberties, but working from a drawing if you try it, it'll be your artistic liberties on top of the original artist's liberties. Which makes the end result too far removed from an actual person.
Despite, that it is still a very good drawing, and if you keep working at it, I'm sure you'll improve greatly.

I can draw pretty well... I just usually have trouble with humanoids... DA PageMy dragons are like... as good as any sketch I've seen. My best stuff is stuff I've never colored in... check out the scrapbook

Sorry, most of your stuff is blocked for me. The dragons I did see are pretty good. That's a good attitude you have about it. I can't draw dragons well, myself.
If you keep practicing drawing humans, I'm sure you won't feel like you have trouble with them sooner rather than later.

Yea... they're a story collection... a story that I'm going to start rewriting some time... it needs a lot of stuff worked out/into it and stuff.

As Abel said, your art is already really good. I'm sure if you improve you'll get much better. x3 I can already see improvements between your latest image and the one you posted a few days ago. Good job~

I don't actually have what I wish I did to color these... I scanned the black and whites and colored them using... get this... ms paint (<-- LAME)
I almost like the black and whites (which I posted on my DA page) better because of this. I'll prolly color them if I ever get some real coloring tools...
the only real difference you're seeing is that I learned how to use MS paint better (which isn't necessarily a useful skill in its own)
