It means "of God," and is more loosely translated to mean a gift from God. Actual Age: almost exactly 4 and a half years. Apparent Age: 19 Gender: female Sexuality: Pansexual Animal: Brown Wolf Skills:
Purpose: A jealous man that once worked for the government attempted to create her in secret for himself, since he couldn't actually afford her, as a P type. Keeping such a secret was of course, impossible, and as a result, she was almost destroyed before even waking up. A zealous, elderly man, now dead, had such faith that she could be used for good, that he paid to ensure that she would have the right to live. He gave her the surname, "Adia," before passing away; and when he did, she was altered further by the government, and became a PI class. Summary: A troubled, ferocious New Child that constantly seeks the trust of a sole master that she had once had, but since lost. |
Relationships:
- Johnathan Patrickson: - Former Master, Long Deceased - The only person she's ever been able to form a positive bond with. With her experience with him, she almost became more of a C type; and he almost made her one, but died before it could happen.
- Victor: - Creator - She hates him with every fiber of her being. If she ever finds out who he is, she would likely make an attempt to kill him.
Inventory:
- Her master's collar: though she no longer wears it, she always keeps it with her. It is really a necklace with a cross, but she calls it a collar.
- iPod
Weapon:
- Serrated obsidian dagger: a foot long dagger with a steel handle and an obsidian blade. As sharp as it can possibly get.
History:
Victor grew up in the slums of Arcis. His father had been the heir to a vast fortune belonging to his father, but that fortune was lost when the apocalypse happened. Victor’s grandfather, who was also named Victor, was a geneticist who regularly toyed around with the idea of gene splicing, though he never had any real experimentation done in the field. What he did do that made him rich was figuring out a way to hide away valuable fragments of information inside repressed genomes; his implementations would have gone into the preservation of human history, culture, and various other important bits of information that would otherwise be lost to time. Victor’s father, Arelius, carried on his grandfather’s work, but took a completely different turn when he began exploring the possibilities of creating geneticly enhanced super-humans. He was going to launch a massive research project in this area, but when the world turned inside out, people shunned his work, calling him a modern day frankenstein; they claimed that not only was it his kind of research that would contribute to the fall of humanity, but that he was actually doing so on purpose. By the time they fled to Arcis, everything he had worked for was lost. A few years after Arcis was established, Victor was born. Arelius taught his son as much as he could about his research, and ultimately, set Victor up to be a perfect candidate when the New Children projects finally began.
Victor had a different plan however; he was selfish, and depraved. He seeked vengeance on his fellow man for destroying everything he could have had. Using his grandfather’s research as background, he began working on project P-077A; a project that he commissioned under a flase name, for himself. The creation was passed of as a tool of human pleasure, and Victor worked through the nights and days, tirelessly, in secret; while the outer layer of the project was certainly turning out to be a P class New Child, Victor stuffed away altered fragments of DNA, and hid them withen P-077A’s genome where no one would even think to look. Leaving breadcrumb trail access methods in different fragments of genetic information, he would enable P-077A to unlock all sorts of knowledge, skills, and other necessary tools to turn her into a living, breathing, nightmare to everything she saw.
Before the project was finished, the Arcis census records showed no sign of the false name that Victor had put down on the New Child application. He was quickly found out, and thrown in prison. For his crimes, he was sentenced to a mere three years in prison, and after that, he’d never be allowed to work on the New Child projects ever again. The fate of the New Child was not so lucky, however. Considered a rather useless P class, they made plans to destroy her. Before that could happen, Johnathan Patrickson, a wealthy, elderly man, came to her rescue. Originally, he had simply wanted a companion/service class to help him in his old age; but a nearly completed New Child seemed perfect, especially since he knew his time left on the world was limited. He bought her out, and less than a month later, He named her Adia, and took her in.
Over time, Adia began to connect with him, and once he had gained her trust, he began to teach her of her story of creation. The old man never hjad much life left in him, and only a year after Adia was “born,” he died. Adia never knew how cruel the world could be until the days that followed. For the first time, she began to grasp what she really was; as a piece of property, she was plucked up by the parlaiment, along with every other one of Johnathan’s belongings and was being auctioned of to the highest bidder.
Before parlaiment had sold her off, they had voted on a decission to have her re-assigned as an I class. They locked her away in a small cage, and only brought her out to defend Arcis. Something about the re-assignment tirggered the activation of some of her locked away genes, and soon she gained a blood lust that caused her to lose herself in combat, and fight and kill without mercy or hesitation, or even the slightest bit of consideration for her actions. Everytime they had to bring her in back from combat, she would attack the humans who tried to retake her until she was tranquilized.
The only thing she has from before Johnathan died is a shain necklace with a cross on it; she calles it a collar, and doesn’t wear it around her neck anymore, but wears it wrapped round her right hand. Her only other possesion is an obsidian dagger that was given to her in order to fight with. She is haunted constantly by the nightmare that is her reality. She is constantly plagued by nightmares of when Johnathan died. She never trusts anyone as a result of past experiences. She only has one positive dream: she wakes up, as a human, in a huge field of golden wheat, with a bright light shining across the land, and trees randomaly growing around the fields. There are others; many people whose faces she can’t recognize but feels as if she knows them all. She hears a voice, and can’t make out what is being said, but feels enticed to follow it, and then she wakes up.
See The Light:
- Can and will be beyond over-zealous to anyone who she sees as a 'master' and some-one she can trust.
- Extremely loving and easily excitable to those she considers her friends.
- Takes joy in the little things, and will not stay unhappy for long if she is unhappy.
- Unbelievable dangerous in melee combat, especially with blood-lust.
- Completely fearless; while some things may make her depressed or unhappy, fear is something she almost never feels, and she certainly never gives into her fears.
- Will never disobey an order from some-one she treats as her master, despite any hurt that it may bring her.
Fear The Dark:
- Distrusts strangers... it's very hard to become friends with her, though well worth it.
- Not very level headed, and often gets into trouble that would otherwise be easily avoided.
- Never forgets when she's hurt, and who hurts her, and can be unforgiving at best.
- It takes a lot to earn her trust as is, but it's even more difficult to get her to see you as friendly.
- Disrespectful to authority.
- If some-one she respects dislikes something or someone, then she's likely to dislike it or them as well, unless she is already friends with someone.
Give It To Me:
- Playing with fire, but it'd probably be a bad idea to let her.
- She likes having companionship, despite how few people will actually qualify.
- The darkness; her wolf night-vision makes her incredibly fond of being able to see when others cannot.
- She likes to be ordered around, it gives her a sense of not having to solve difficult problems on her own, and frees her from the responsibilities that come from... ironically, freedom.
- Mythology, though she cannot read, she has a fascination with mythical beings. She's particularly fond of the guardian of the underworld, Cerberus.
Get It Away:
- Having to make tough decisions with possible consequences, she prefers some-one else to make them for her.
- Any reminder of the reality that she finds herself in, she prefers to daydream, and escape, in her mind, to a time and place when things were much better.
- Free will in general; she has a canine mentality of command-obey that makes free will something that not only gets in the way, but reminds her of her gloom reality.
- Having to serve anyone she doesn't know very well or distrusts; and as a result, she hates parliament as well.
- Being talked to in a sarcastic tone or manner in regards to her intelligence, species, or age.
In My Nightmares:
- Reality is her nightmare: she has no companionship, and she has constant nightmares of the death date of the one person she ever did trust.
- Dying alone.
- Being humiliated in any way.
In My Dreams:
- Finding companionship again.
- A feeling of love, which she doesn't completely understand.
- She has a recurring dream that is positive, though rare. The dream is that she is human, in a world where everyone is human, everyone is happy, in some ancient, or possibly future setting where the modern realities are completely gone.
